On 10th December 2021 Gianira Ferrara and Nina Baratti will take part in the conference “Musics of oral tradition in the age of digital conversion – Documenting, Archiving, Analysing, Repatriating”, organised by the Buttitta Foundation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Folkstudio, and to be held in Palermo at the Antonio Pasqualino International Museum of Puppets.
This is the title of their talk: “Quintal: an experience of networked ethnomusicology. Research and Activism in the Digital Age”. They will present the Quintal Association, the projects carried out and those in the making, sharing our perspectives and objectives with many exponents of Italian ethnomusicology, both old and new.
