BIBIANA FIGUEREIDO
A Luso-Angolan born in Portugal in 1988. Since her childhood, dance has been part of her life so that she devoted her studies to this area. After specializing in dance at the Balleteatro Escola Profissional in Porto, she graduated in the same area at the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon in 2010. During her academic training, she worked as an interpreter in various projects in the field of inclusive dance and community dance. In 2017, she was in Mozambique on an international volunteering program, implementing educational activities through art in a children’s activity center on the Island of Mozambique. She currently works as a professor of classical ballet, contemporary dance, dramatic expression, and theater, in São Tomé and Principe and is finishing a degree in Education at Universidade. She is the founder of the movement RaizArte, an initiative of community development through the means of art and art education in São Tomé Island.
